Since the Collapse, knowledge of the regions that were once well traveled became lost and, accurate maps, exotic. Only a series of coordinated efforts by the Northern communities allowed these areas to be brought into the light again from their status of terra incognita.
A few maps from those years of rediscovery have since become common items in the gear of any mindful explorer. One example of which is this First Edition map of the Southern Coast, based mainly on the work of the Stoltz team, with notes and corrections by scribes from the House of Johnson.
